Dietary Aide

Riverside Foundation has a full-time position available for a dietary aide. Experience preferred. Qualified candidates must be able to work standing up for 2.5 hours at a time, and able to lift up to 30 pounds; must be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English, pass a criminal background check, have a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record. We offer pleasant working conditions, no late hours.

Duties include:

  • Assist in the preparation of food under the direction and supervision of the Food Services Director or the cook on duty
  • Set table and serve meals to residents
  • Operate dishwasher and complete hand washing of all pans, utensils, and dishes after meals
  • Assist in sorting foods and supplies, including acceptance of deliveries and completion of assigned inventories
  • Complete kitchen and dining room cleanup after each meal, including, but not limited to sweeping and mopping of floors, cleaning  of all appliances and equipment used in the preparation of the meal
  • Complete thorough cleaning of all food services areas, food service appliances, equipment and furnishings according to department schedules, policies, and procedures
  • Responsibility to know and assist with emergency evacuations
  • Ability to deal with client maladaptive behaviors as trained and assigned

Developmental Trainer

Riverside Foundation has full-time positions available for developmental trainers at our day training program in Vernon Hills. Experience preferred, but State certified training is provided, if needed. Hours are Mon. – Fri., 7:45 am – 3:45 pm.  The successful applicant must be able to pass a criminal background check. A high school diploma or GED equivalent, good attendance, a valid Illinois driver’s license, and a clean driving record are also required.

Duties include:

  • Lead group/individual activities to maximize active programming
  • Communicate client needs to appropriate contact person
  • Monitor and supervise clients throughout the day
  • Assist with client morning routines and door monitoring as assigned
  • Provide intervention for client maladaptive behaviors as trained and assigned
  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living
  • Facilitate core groups

Morning Nursing Assistant

Riverside Foundation has part-time positions available for nursing assistants. Experience preferred, but State certified training is provided, if needed. Hours are Mon. – Fri., 6:00 am-9:00 am. Additional weekend and evening hours are available in the Program department, if desired, once training is completed. The successful applicant must be able to pass a criminal background check. Good attendance, a valid Illinois driver’s license, and a clean driving record are also required.

Duties include:

  • Implement morning training programs
  • Assist clients with morning ADLs
  • Monitor clients at breakfast
  • Provide assistance to clients in areas of need
  • Communicate clients’ needs to the Health Services Director
  • Encourage clients’ interpersonal skills
  • Assist clients on medical, dental, and other scheduled appointments
  • Provide intervention for client maladaptive behaviors as trained and assigned

Program Assistant

Riverside Foundation has part-time positions available for Program Assistants. Part-time hours are available Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, 3 pm-11pm. Part-time Program Assistant employees must work at least one weekend shift, and must work 16-32 hours per week. A shift differential is paid for hours worked on Saturday and Sunday. The successful applicant must be able to pass a criminal background check. Good attendance, a valid Illinois driver’s license, and a clean driving record are also required.

Duties include:

  • Implement training programs
  • Provide assistance to clients in areas of need
  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
  • When assigned, attend Interdisciplinary Team meetings, and provide relevant information on client status in training programs and areas of need
  • Monitor and supervise clients to ensure safety and well-being
  • Communicate clients’ needs to the Program Coordinator
  • When assigned, drive and supervise clients on community outings
  • Encourage client participation in the greater community
  • Provide intervention for client maladaptive behaviors as trained and assigned

CILA Direct Care Staff

Riverside Foundation has full-time and part-time positions available for Program Assistants. Full-time schedules are Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday, 3 pm-11 pm. Overnight full-time positions are Wednesday-Saturday 11 pm-9 am, Sunday-Wednesday, 11 pm-9 am.  Part-time hours are available weeknights and weekends. Part-time employees must work at least 16 hours per week. The successful applicant must be able to pass a criminal background check. Good attendance, a valid Illinois driver’s license, and a clean driving record are also required. New employees will have to work at the residential facility until training is completed.

  • Implement training programs
  • Provide assistance to clients in areas of need
  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
  • When assigned, attend Interdisciplinary Team meetings, and provide relevant information on client status in training programs and areas of need
